Family Resource Center

Take the Next Step was created to provide a reliable list of available resources for our neighbors in need. In 2005, the Next Step was just one huge three-ring notebook.

We chose our name carefully. The heart of our purpose is to form enduring, respectful relationships, and to help our program participants take their own next steps.

We promise you will always be welcome.

Family Resource Center Hours

Monday - Thursday: 9:30a to 5:00p
Closed between 1:00 - 2:00 PM for lunch

Assistance

Our funding sources vary, availability and eligibility will vary, but we often are able to provide the following types of assistance. These are not comprehensive and our navigation team will work one on one with you to figure out what other resources may be best to connect you with, whether it’s something we have in the office, o

Utilities and Basic Needs

We may have financial assistance for eligible families to cover household bills.

Transportation

Our navigators often have access to transportation support such as bus passes and gas cards. Limited availability

Rental Assistance

We hold contracts for rental assistance with the City of Monroe and the City of Snohomish. Funds are limited and families must income qualify

Propane and laundry

Limited access to vouchers for propane, laundry, and other immediate needs. Must make an appointment with a navigator.

There are many ways to get involved in the Family Resource Center's work...

  • help us with administrative and operational tasks - lots to organize!

  • donate to our food pantry

  • warm coats and blankets are so important to our homeless clients in the winter and supports our Outreach Program
